School Supplies Update for Fall 2013
JSIS staff has worked with the PTSA to create a much simpler way for families to support the school with back-to-school supplies. There will be no class supplies list for you to purchase at the beginning of the year! Instead, you will be asked to pay a $40 per student school supply fee for classroom supplies. More details about the school supplies program and the payment process for next year can be found here.

Host a JSIS Spanish Intern Next School Year: We need you!
We just got word we are getting a third intern from Spain (bringing our total to 3!)
We are looking for families to host the intern for a three-month period (fall, winter, or spring). Interested? Contact Sra. Maria Buceta-Miller ASAP (or email Lynn).
Thank you to those families who have already agreed to open their homes and have a great language/cultural experience with our other two interns!
*Please note: You do not have to be in the Spanish program to host.*
Option School Information
As mentioned in the recent PTSA meeting by Ms. Kathleen, the JSIS staff have submitted a letter to the Seattle School District requesting to move the school to an option model, instead of the current attendance area model. Read the most recent letter sent here.
