End of Remote Learning for Inclement Weather
OSPI is sunsetting Continuous Learning 2.0+. SPS will no longer implement a remote instructional delivery model in response to inclement weather. School staff do not need to prepare for device distribution or implementation of remote learning plans in these cases.
These changes were shared with families as part of back to school communications and will be shared again as part of inclement weather communication.
SPS will use the calendar make up days at the end of the year if there are any closures related to inclement weather.
BULLETIN NO. 033-25 EXECUTIVE SERVICES
“Beginning in school year 2025-26, Continuous Learning 2.0+ (CL2.0+) will not be an allowable delivery of program for basic education. In addition, LEAs are not permitted to use Continuous Learning 2.0+ for sudden, short-term school closures resulting from weather or other related impacts to daily in-person instruction.”
