If your child is late, or you think you have observed their bus coming home from school but they were not on it, first call the JSIS office (closes at 3:30 PM)  If it is after office hours, then call the Transportation Department.  Call loads are high in the afternoons.

You can check our School Profile page for the Geozone Map and Transportation Map to see whether you live in the transportation zone or walk zone.

Bus assignments: your student gets assigned a bus number and route according to your home address. If you need your child to go to/from a daycare address you must notify the transportation department via phone or email transdept@seattleschools.org.  Request levels are high at the beginning of the school year, so it may take some time to officially change the bus assignment. Leave a message with your student's ID number and the address of the daycare.

    After school change of plans?

Please communicate to the office by 1:00pm, if your student will be changing their mode of transportation at the end of the day.  This includes being picked up by a friend or different parent, or riding the bus home with a friend.  We need enough time to create a bus card and notify the student in class.
