District Transportation Dept. Slow, Direct Service Line: 252-0900

John Stanford International School Office: 252-6080

If your child is late, or you think you have observed their bus coming home from school but they were not on it, first call JSIS office (closes at 4:00 PM, but try after just in case).

Then, call the Transportation Department. Eventually, they will be able to reach your child's bus driver, and also ask around the network.

Bus assignments: your student gets assigned a bus number and route according to your home address. If you need your child to go to/from a daycare address you must apply for that bus and route to be reassigned each year. Call transportation at the first number, above. They are really busy in the first months of school so keep trying, and leave a message with your student's ID number and the address of the daycare. You can also try emailing, including the same information:

    transdept@seattleschools.org

After school pick-up by parents or alternative bus: We need to know ahead of time that your student should not move efficiently to the bus Please call the office by 2 p.m., and arrive at least 5 minutes before dismissal times, 3:30 for K/1 and 3:35 for 3/5.

Going home after school with a different family? on a different bus than usual? Who is the other parent/guardian, who is the friend? Please call the office, 252-6080, the day before, and let us know. In the case of buses, a written note must be brought to the office so that a Green Card can be drawn up for the bus driver, designating with whom they are let off the bus.
