Volunteering

2012-2013 PTSA & School Committees:

Powered by You JSIS! 5 Hour Pledge
Outside of the core academic curriculum, most of the things that enrich our children's education at JSIS happen because of parent involvement.  We are very fortunate to have so many talented and dedicated families working together to make our school the best it can be.

We ask that every family
donate at least 5 volunteer hours per year to support our school.  If every family participates we can put on community events, create new programs and sustain current programs.

See a Need, Fill a Need. Check out the different activities below and find out how you can best contribute your time to these efforts.

Information

SPS Volunteer Screening Policy

Seattle Public Schools has a policy of screening volunteers who work directly with students both in the classroom and on field trips. Screening is valid for 2 years, after which you must re-apply.  First-time volunteers and those re-applying must complete and submit the two forms (below) to JSIS.  The office has a list of people who are up to date.  Feel free to come in or call 252-6080 to check.
