Community Action Project (CAP)

John Stanford International School  focus also includes a global mission of giving and helping others in need.  Each year, as a school community we work on at least one school-wide service project.  The goal of the Community Action Project is for students to understand a global problem and then to take action to help others.

 Community Action Project 2013-2014

Family Works
Food bank and resource center in Wallingford in the community.

To support FamilyWorks in their efforts, the community of John Stanford International School will be working together to provide goods and monetary resources. FamilyWorks would not be able to provide the resources and services without the help of caring & compassionate volunteers and donors.

❤  Thank you to the students who participated in this year’s Community Action Project.   Student representatives visited Family Works.  ❤

❤  JSIS Community students collected food and diapers for the Family Works food bank.❤

Past Community Action Projects:

2012-13: Read to Feed:  Worked with Heifer International.  Students learned about micro loans and raised money by reading.

2011-12: Walk for Water:  Raised awareness about access to clean water. Water simulation where students carried a gallon of water around the playground.  Also, raised money for Water1st International.
